Atomic Vaudeville Presents Episode #48

It is Vaudeville reconceived for the present age attempting to reach out to an audience that is ready for a live, entertaining and relevant theatrical art form. The show has won the Monday Magazine award for best comedy act three years running. AV has produced 30 cabaret shows and worked with over 150 local and visiting artists. As well as the ongoing cabarets, AV began a summer Sweatshop Festival in Victoria in 2006 which showcases local and visiting artists in new and experimental short-form work.

Atomic Vaudeville has also produced two plays by Richmond: The Qualities of Zero in Victoria and Vancouver and Legoland in Toronto, New York, Victoria and Vancouver, as well as Circus Fire by Janet Munsil in Victoria and Prague.  Atomic Vaudeville has also been invited to perform for the Victoria Erotica Film and Arts Festival, the Monday Magazine Awards, the Victoria Art Gallery, the Luminara Lantern Festival, the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival and the BC Film Commission Conference.

The company is composed of a collective of writers, performers and musicians supported by the leadership of Richmond and Small. The company's mission is to redefine performance in their community by creating a living theatre environment combining a variety of performance disciplines as well as stimulating dialogue with the audience by embracing the concerns and sensibilities of an undefined generation.
