Check Website for Exceptions Club Salsa is an important fundraiser for the Victoria Multi-Cultural Society.
All proceeds from Club Salsa are used to:
1) keep the traditions of Latin music, dance and culture alive in Victoria; 2) provide an opportunity for musians and dancers to perform;
3) a gathering place for the Latino community where cultural
events can be celebrated (eg Festival Mexicano, Quince Anos,
Mexican Independence Day, etc). Fundraise at Club Salsa!
How does this work?
• The group or organization arranges a special night with the organizers of
Club Salsa (Club Salsa is a popular event that occurs on the 1st and 3rd Friday of
each month. The night begins with a dance class from 830-930PM and then turns into a
social dance evening, where everyone enjoys a combination of great Latin music,
dancing, socializing and affordable drinks. • The Fundraising group does not pay for room rental or staffing. There
are no associatedcosts with using Club Salsa as a fundraising event.
• Organization raises funds by selling tickets to a chosen Club
Salsa event. The organization can sell up to 125 tickets (at their chosen price),
but must give $7.00 or every ticket sold back to Club Salsa.
Tickets (that include the dance class) are normally sold for $9.
For example: If the fundraising organization charges
$15/ticket, their profit would be $8/ticket and at 125 tickets sold,
that woudl be a profit of $1000.00
• Organization may choose to incorporate a raffle, silent auction,
50:50 draw in order to raise more funds.
• Club Salsa will print the tickets and give them to the organization to sell. |
